Something I think i forgot to mention is you will also want to plug the other side of the hose....perhaps use a bolt and a hose clamp

How about this, plug the line, bottle hooked to the other side. Start truck & unplug CP3, fuel in bottle & a leak in the original line also

That's a race valve in there also. How many shims should I use? What is the difference between an LB7 & LLY valve. I have 1 of each & I don't know how to tell tem apart

Instead of driving just making the CP3 go to wide open did the same thing...correct?

Are you talking LBZ/LLY? LB7's have something in the junction block I've heard, but not in the rails like the new trucks.

Drive at WOT, then chop the throttle sharply. This spikes it and pops the rail.

For a stock valve I use 2 shims and test. If that's not enough, I use 3. Blue is the only truck I've seen that needed 3.

I'm asking if I still need to drive it with as much fuel that is in the bottle after just unplugging the CP3. I'm guessing it shouldn't leak like that

I ran a race valve-leaked after a few thousand miles.

Then I shimmed a new LBZ valve with 3 shims-good to go.

A leaking PRV does nothing but dump rail pressure into the tank. It's safe to drive.
