Default Iso lbz alternator

Anyone have a good used alternator for an 06 lbz. Seems my voltage regulator is bad. Figured I'd look for a cheap one here before going to autozone or having a local shop rebuild it.

Thanks ferm. I was thinking about rebuilding mine. Its only charging at 13 volts. Figured id i could find a cheap used one id go that route until i can pull mine out and order a rebuild kit for it. Any way to tell which alternator i have? Not sure if an rpo code will tell me.

I have one out of my LMM I think if it didn’t get thrown away yet. Shipping might be expensive I’m in CA.

LBZ uses an oddball DR44G, but it has a 4 pin regulator since the LBZ ECM is not setup to control the charging system. LMM is supposed to be a DR44 or a Bosch unit with a 2 pin regulator as the LMM ECM works in conjunction with the charging module to vary voltage output. You can also get an AD244 from an earlier truck to run on an LBZ.

Thanks ferm. It charges anywhere from 12.9-13.6 volts. Figured it should be more then that.

I didnít know they were different so I guess that wonít work. I know on my LMM itíll charge as low as 12.9/13 once the trucks been running a while. The LB7 we have stays around 13.8/14.2 and those are taken off of a volt meter not the gauge on the dash.
