Default real world mileage and problems

So it's been a good year and I am about to pull the trigger and get one the last of the 2016 LML's. I know the L5P has some impressive numbers but I'm leary of owning the first of a new engine series and it's $5,000 more. I was hoping to get some real world feed back on the LML in our variable climate.

What have other people in the north east experienced for real world mileage and problems? I average 100 miles a day 75 of which are highway but doing 200 a day isn't unheard of. I frequently tow a 6500 enclosed trailer and will occasionally tow a 14,000 lb dump but I am not worried about the mileage while towing that. My LB7 seems to average around 16.5 -17.5 MPG with my habits

Thanks

Does buying a new truck hinge on the mileage for you? I just ask because that's a pretty subjective question.

I would expect a lml to get worse then a lb7 and better then a lmm.

Also mileage will be lower till you get some miles on the new truck. 18-21 hwy an 15-18 city if I had to guess. Lots of variables to that

empty i was around 18-19 hwy. towing mine was horrible till deleted. depends on how heavy i was pulling. worst i saw was 8.5-9mpg with my s250s or excavator on trailer 12k-15k. best i saw pulling my ranger 620 was 11.5mpg around 5-5500lbs. that was completely stock. and has around 13k now.
now it should get better as i get some more miles on it like all my trucks have.
now deleted running the 150hp tune pulling my boat i get around 13.5-15mpg. empty hasnt really changed much. 19-20 is best ive done so far.
pulling my s250s or excavators i get around 11ish now. on the heavy towing tune. no idea on hp.
i have,
5in turbo back
mbrp down pipe
moonshine tunes.
air dog 165 4g
s and b intake
pcv re route
resonator delete
7in lift turned down to around 5.5in and 35s.

Is the 150 horse tune a towing tune? Or a playing tune?

tony calls the 150 tune a "race" tune. i bought 5 tunes.
i got the heavy towing, 100hp. 150hp, 175hp, and 245hp.
i havnt pulled anything on the 150hp heavier then my ranger. and im not going to till i get my trans done really soon.
anything around 75-100hp you should be able to pull what you want within reason. you can wreck a stock truck with the wrong person driving it.

everyone always says these trucks get so great mpgs. but i sure havnt had it yet. granted mines lifted, so i dont care all that much. but my lbz on average did 2mpg better in any aspect. pulling or empty. but the lbz wasnt stock either. twin turbos, injectors, built trans ect.

It matters but it's not the be all end all, accounts receivable and bank financing are. While I have hit close to 19 MPG on my LB7 my last calc was 11.9 towing my 5,000 LB camper down hill at 65MPH, I got 12.9 towing it up hill to get there.... I'm just sick of throwing parts at my LB7 for it's lack luster performance.

All if your fuel data sounds right on par with what I see as well. Of course I probably run a little more hp tune than you are running most of the time.

I do my own tuning. I do sell tuning as well. I can tow on higher hp tunes without issue as long as you watch your temps and drive appropriately. I do have a built tranny. On the stock tranny I would not recommend what I currently run because it wouldn't last if you drive very aggressively. I like a responsive truck.

Do you run ridge runner tunes? I've been running korys runs great. Your numbers for hp on the big tune are more then mine anyway. My truck I just leaves turned up unless i pull. It has done 19-20 the dic always says like 22-23 or somthing though.
