    I take it you aren't home... otherwise I would say, pull a couple of the glowplugs to see if there is moisture in the cylinders... How handy is the wife, maybe she can pull them?

    Is your bottle under a lot of pressure... mine seemed to pressurize the rezi bottle and push the fluid out when the HG went. Which motor? On my LB7 if the injector cups stick then it will slowly loose coolant and act like a small HG leak... Been down this road, studs, quality...

    So glad I saw this thread... I was about to order a new switch since I had ruled out the actuators and the switch was the only thing I could think of that would cause it to not work. I just went and tried it... yea, 4Lo :thumb: but now I feel like an idiot for not trying that sooner.

That beam axle looks to be the right width, still researching the pad width, I'd have to change out the hubs to 8x6.5 and mod the steering to run a DL/TR setup.     My daily driver / towrig is an 04' Duramax CC/LB/DRW love this truck, has nearly 300k on it now... runs and tows awesome. Hate the front end... I have to rebuild the IFS again, third or fourth time now (lost track) I see guys doing SAS conversions to SRW 4x4 trucks all the time... I'm curious...

    LB7: Coolant in Oil

    only other place I can think of that the 2 come in close prox that doesn't involve headgaskets is the OEM oil cooler... not sure how you would go about checking that though

    260,000 miles blown head gasket

    low coolant light and coolant in the oil definitly sounds like a HG... but like said before if it's hard starting like it's seized... make sure you're not filling the cylinders...glow plugs are easy way to make sure... if it's just injector cups, at least you don't have to pull the heads to fix.
