Lower rad hose pressure/tank pressure
Hey guys, for a while now I've noticed my lower rad hose and reservoir will hold pressure for as long as the truck is off. 2004.5 LLY. Got it back together, clearance on C2 is now .070. Drove it for 30 mins at low rpm trying to get it to slip like that again and nothing, got on it pretty good and it felt strong. They forgot the plate in the kit. I had no idea because the book nor the old clutches had an apply plate. Either way...- BG lly 2500

These are the C2 that came out of it. As you can see this was clearly my problem. There is only 1 fiber that even has fiber and the bottom 2 were bent inward like they were cupped from pressure.- BG lly 2500

Thank you sir for the insight sir, I did take part assembly, all looks OK, was super hard to get seals broken and they looked good so I think they are all OK. Mike, I looked at bit and directions, the bit I used in the side hoke was 5/32, used the ⅛ to drill out holes for the plugs. Sorry for...- BG lly 2500

So Merchant is sending me an apply plate. I'm guessing it was supposed to be in the kit and wasn't. Funny thing is that there wasn't an apply plate in the stock clutches unless the bottom one was the apply plate, it's no different than any other steels. Looks like it's the same as stock. Exactly the same amount of steels and fibers and they look exactly the same except old fibers are completely gone. Steels are same thickness, Within .002- BG lly 2500

The old steels are trashed, no fibers left on old C2, just burnt steels and the metal left from fibers.- BG lly 2500

Yes I obviously did something wrong. I did follow directions though. I do not know exactly what I'm doing but I think I can handle it. I've almost got the transmission back out. I checked and did everything according to the ATS book and the directions provided. The C2 mod, the pump spring, the hole in pump plate, clearances within spec but C2 was on the loose end .080. I'm taking it out now to swap some old thicker steels to get clearance closer to .060 on C2. This is...- BG lly 2500
