    Thank you. I am planning on a small turbo upgrade down the road but nothing extreme or put the LLY turbo on and go full LLY, easier down the road for tuning options vs the hybrid setup I have now. Get it from the source?

    Good to hear. FYI, I've tried gaplass rings twice and both times, they didn't work. One in my Turbo Caravan, has massive blowby issues and tried them in my wife's ALH tdi. Burn's oil. Bores done to their specs. :(

    Above says LML, 397/765, so you're telling me a tune won't add 100 ft/lbs? Not talking HP, :) Again, are any of the previous platforms capable of 750-800 ft/lbs with just a tune? Like I said, just trying to understand when all the engines are virtually identical.

    That doesn't explain the huge power difference. Internally, virtually identical, injectors, all around the same size, all use the CP3 pump except LML, turbo sizes pretty close. My last post said ignore rads, transmissions. :)

    Ok, so forget the trans etc, and I believe turbo sizes are very close, so why the huge difference from LB7 to LML. Can the LB7 be a tune away from LML, but then you can tune an LML and be way more, probably around 850. Is the turbo that small on the LB7? The others? LLY, LBZ capable of 750...

    Anybody run a LLY VVT turbo with a waste-gate actuator controlling the vanes?

    I like where he is going with the ecm, as look at what's going on now with tuners? EPA is shutting them down and all the good guys are gone. Also, the FICM's for LB7 and LLY are not being made anymore and companies are asking $2000 US for a refurbished one. Criminal.

    Put the 120 amp unit on. I've had good luck with Wilson and AC Delco. Bosch are pure junk.

    Bare minimum of upgrade parts needed for longevity for a sub 700hp build.

    What does the cam do? Just add more top end? Is shimming the oil pump needed on a stock turboed tow build? I've heard of them spinning but never seen it in my area. Does it drop oil temps that much? Thanks for your reply, always trying to learn.
