    Under the knife

2002 CCSB Going under the knife. All new brake lines from GM were $115. The line going to the rear was rusted out between the frame rail and fuel tank. I opted to take the bed off because, while its down, I'm going to put some POR15 on the whole frame and such. The brake lines arent a hard...

    Cut dsp5 switch

Bought this truck and I found out tonight, since I had an extra minute, and found out that the dsp5 switch wire was cut about a foot behind switch and 6" outside of the ecm. Questions: 1.) is it possible for the dealer to flash a stock file back into the ecm with the pins still in ecm? 2.)...

BT Diesel and Fleece tap shifter users

Anybody out there using either of these...especially in the 01-02 models? Pros and con's of whatever brand you are using. Personally, I like Ben's electronics, but he lacks on customer service and response time. Fleece shifter seems a little more user friendly. Help me make a decision. Sent...

    Explanation of drive pressure

I was in YellowBullet forum reading a few things and came across this post. A guy posted on the forum about billet S484 and its ability to make power. Another guy (smokeshow) chimed in with some douchebag comments about how a turbine doesn't care about the size of engine and how much exhaust...

02 Electric transfer case force lock

Today I was tooling around and cane to a stop on some packed snow. As I applied the brakes my front left brake locked up and I felt the pedal mash to the floor and it sounded like the ABS was trying to work... Ticking noise and could feel it in the brake pedal. When I turned left I could feel...

Cruise, cargo lights, interior lights issue

02 LB7 Cruise works fine unless I have trailer plugged in and the headlights come on. DRL and cruise works fine. Where do I start at the diagnosis of this issue? "Cargo light on" stays on continuously on the message center. Cargo like cannot be activated even ouabing the button, yet the third...

    Precision turbo question

I'm trying to Google search info on airflow on the Gen2 series turbos for a double PT and triple PT setup. I remember back when EPR was doing a triple with the atmos being a fairly small inducer size. What I am trying to consider in a sensible and smart build: the setup would not be a 100%...

    LB7: Towing with GTX4088R ?

Is anyone here towing frequently with a GTX4088R? If so, how do you like it? Problems? What is your fueling set up? I am thinking this would be a great towing turbo with the right injectors. Thoughts?

    Back in the saddle

I sold my 06 a couple of years ago and have been tooling around in a 2010 Jetta TDI. I put over 120k miles on it since I bought it. She's a good car, but part of the emissions fiasco that VW is going through. I decided I get back into a truck so I bought a loaded out 2002 2500hd LB7. CCSB. Its...

    Super Steer tie rods

I had to buy new tie rods because my sleeves were froze to the OE tie rods and I needed an alignment badly. I put the Super Steer on and can feel a significant difference in front ride and steering. Feels more "intact" I guess I'd say. It's different I know that. Just giving the info out.

    90%TPS on lock up controller

Ben, I'll try it this way. Just two tech questions, then we can move forward after that. Is it possible to change lockup on the controller from 100% TPS to 90%TPS? How?

    Goal kinda met

I set out this spring with my goal ultimately getting onto the stock list. Almost made it, but for the day I wanted 12.5x. I got this with full street trim (with drag radials). She probably could have made this list had I stripped more weight, but I'm pretty much determined that street trim is...

    Ball joints?

Sounds like mine are beginning to go with 136,000. What is the avg. mileage for the ball joints on these trucks? Anybody know? It could be pitman/idler but steering isn't loose and only rattles over jarring in the road and I've notices it pulling into rough entrances at the store.

    Allison 6sp: Hard downshifts

Could anyone help me understand why these transmissions slam down on the 3-2 2-1 whenever I have changed filters or added fluid. Upon the first drive after build, it did this: I changed filters and reset taps. It improved. I have driven 2,000 miles or so and changed filters, did it again but...

    Roll pans?

Does anyone know of a good buy on roll pans. Truck needs to shed some weight, I like the look too. I've seen some stuff on eBay, but thought I'd get some suggestions here as well.
