Lly turbo in an lmm possible?

Well its 3.5mm bigger on the compressor side and the exhaust turbine is bigger as well, so you will need to also adjust fueling or it will be laggy. But yes it will fit, I put a LBZ exhaust housing with a LLY compressor side on my LMM. Planning on rebuilding it before you put it in?

More turbo threads I read the more confused I get

lets just say 45% over injectors on both, at 2200-2500 rpm. (normally about the RPM im turning going up a steep grade hauling a heavy trailer)

More turbo threads I read the more confused I get

I guess the next question then.. with the 68 being built on a 4094, is there less drive pressure than the 3794?

Did you drive it before fueling it? My concern is that with 45% overs or just stokers it wont spool quickly... Then after that it comes down to if the CP3 can keep up, which I really dont want to get into replacing my CP3 right now.

Absolutely. I toasted the trans on my old truck with "trans safe tunes". There is no illusion that my tranny will live any amount of time with a new turbo.

More turbo threads I read the more confused I get

So power options, I want to be at 600-650 max effort on my current motor., daily drive around 450-500.. Once I go built (with a S475/480 over) I would like to be 800-900 ish max effort, but most likely would drive around way lower 500-600. That being said sounds like the 3794 might be the...

Really? I thought that his 68 stg2r was built on a 4094 frame? Kind of surprising, if the 68 is faster spooling than his 3494 that the decision really easy... Hard trying to find any reviews on the SDP 68mm...

More turbo threads I read the more confused I get

Ok, so been doing a bunch more reading, including 90+ pages on Mark's BMW 3794 Stage 2, and a ton of threads on his 68mm Stg2R. I think I have decided that I am going to replace the factory turbo, then start building another motor. Once I have a short block done in a couple years (LML crank...

I was planning on doing manifolds and up pipes when I did the turbo... Why did you decide to go with the Danville 3794 instead of twinning?

Will be in 2 months. One thing I forgot to mention, I can tolerate some whistle, but dont want the thing so loud that I get a headache while on the highway.

More turbo threads I read the more confused I get

So was considering upgrading the turbo on my LMM. Main reason is to have lower EGT's while towing. A little info about me/my truck. Its a DD, I live at about 3000ft, on weekends haul from 5000-7000lbs, about once a month haul around 16k lbs. When I am hauling, a fair amount of it is at...

    Horse Trailer Camper

Some food for thought.... For SHTF use, you are relying 100% on solar, you might want to think of a backup of sorts (generator), you are already relying on your truck to haul it, which means you will need diesel. Nuclear fallout/nuclear winter, you might not see the sun for a really long time...
