    That is your answer right there. To make the IHI sound perfect but not obnoxious you will need a metal intake pipe like the original AFE Stage II and a ported intake horn from Michael aka Super Diesel. If you do those two things you will definitely be able to tell a difference.

    No. You want it solid and no slack once the 1" of clearance is taken up. You never feel the 1" travel and there is no slam.

    Here is what I have been using for awhile. These are my 2nd generation and final generation. I really like the ability to screw each of them down to a 1" spacer (wood block) and lock them down. Craig P.S. I guess I'll add pictures after this post since I have to have 10 first.
