    May I ask why? They only show one kit for the 5 speed and one for the 6 speed. It says you can use the 6 speed JR in the 5 speed but it won't get the benefits of higher clutch holding power. Always open to learning. Thanks again.

    Long story short, I hurt 5th gear towing, so short on time, I can get a 6 speed with 100k, for a reasonable price. If I put my 5speed wiring and valve body in, will it work? If it will work, anything I should do while I am swapping it? TIA.

    I just bought the quick disconnect connectors so I didn't have to cut the metal line. Cleaner and easier IMHO. For that way, only need say 6ft or so.

    I agree, stealing in my area is brutal, watched a guy on camera steal a 06 F350 from the shop, in literally 10 secs. Other shop owners were here and because it was so fast, they thought it was the customer picking it up. Quite possible, I bought it used and never saw a security light.

    I did read the thread, saw it all, hence my question. Looked up billet as well, guess I misunderstood what billet was. Understand the belt and suspenders approach, sucks when you do that and still have issues. :(

    How can those hold downs be called billet? They look cast. Maybe I missed it, what's wrong with the stock hold downs? I feel your pain, had to rip into mine a few times, not a nice job by any means.

    Use the original ECM. Did you remove the egr off the new engine? My 02 doesn't have theft. Did you bleed the fuel system properly?
