    2006 GM Van module questions

Ben knows more than me, but if your van is a 'LBZ' with an E35A ecm and the T42 TCM (and I THINK the duramax van was introduced with the LBZ...can't see them doing a LLY in 06), then it uses GMLAN and to the DLC... Assuming that's the case, it shouldn't be super hard to replace or repin the...

5 speed to 6 speed conversion.

How do those running 01-05 type TCMs that have kits that use LBZ+ valve bodies account for the different trim solenoids? The 3rd gen trim solenoids don't fit in 4th gen (LBZ/LMM) valve bodies, and the connectors are different. And the 3rd gen TCM doesn't work properly with the 4th gen trim...

    LMM Swap into LLY Truck

Can't do it. LMM modules talk different languages from the LLY modules. Only way to do something along the lines of what you're talking about is ditch the LMM harnesses, find LBZ harnesses and ECM, TCM and GPCM. Those would be able to communicate with the rest of the trucks modules. Or a total...

    lbz keyless entry

The reason for it was sometimes devices like that aftermarket module don't listen and shut up when a tool sends out the message on the byscfor all modules to 'stop talking', so they keep chattering, which can/will cause issues flashing. This would apply to flashing anything on the data bus. The...

    lbz keyless entry

As far as just running and the bcm, as far as I know, these trucks aren't super fussy. If you take a bcm from a truck of the same or similar year with the same options, VATs is going to be an issue but that is easy to fix, but at that point, that really would be the only issue... Heck, as far as...

    lbz keyless entry

I can't imagine how they bricked your truck with a BCM flash to add RKE... When I pull up my 04 in TIS, related to keyless entry, there are two options in the Theft Deterrent Alarm' segment - 15193135 for vehicles without RKE and 15110684 for vehicles with RKE. Unless MAYBE (although this seems...

    Home hvac

Maybe I'm missing something, but why do you need nitrogen for anything other than a pressure test? If you draw it down to a full vacuum like you're supposed to, there would be pretty much nothing in the system other than the oil and maybe a few stray bits of 'air' that the vaccum might not be...

    Anti gravity lithium batteries

Well, if you only need one to replace the two lead acids our diesels need, and it lasts at least 4x as long.... But I'd be concerned about using them where it could freeze... As previously mentioned, most lithium chemistries don't do well below freezing - charging more than discharging. LTO is...

Issues loading tunes after getting a new ECM

It uses the ecm serial number for licensing, not the VIN. To flash, the new ECM would have to be licensed, but the tune could be locked to VIN or ECM serial number (I believe). But if the new ECM has a stock GM tune programmed using TIS and can't even be read with your F/S, then it seems...

    Still having trouble, need recomendations

It wasn't clear to me, but when you said 'LLY Injectors', were they from a 2004-2005 LLY or a 2006 LLY? Sent from my Pixel 5 using Tapatalk

    ISO LBZ engine wiring harness

LBZ is closer overall to LLY/LB7. If nothing else, the LMM went to oval bale connectors on top of the engine, whereas LB7, LLY and LBZ were all rectangular. Not to mention the GMT800 vs GMT900 differences. My guess is you couldn't plug a LMM harness into a LBZ truck as easily as you can a LBZ...
