If it was me, I'd have the dealer do the injector, I'd do the glow plugs myself (or not bother at all if it isn't cold where you live), and then clear the codes and see if the NOx code comes back. If...

It really sounds like the new thermostats aren't closing fully. I've had thermostats be bad out of the box. I would personally change them again. It isn't hard, you don't need to drain all the...

I usually just Google the RPO code. You can find 90% of them without too much effort. Or Google "GM RPO codes" and look for websites with big lists of them. I don't know of any one master list,...

The 3 letter codes are known as Regular Production Option (RPO) codes, and it is a system used by GM since at least the 90s to track what options a vehicle was built with. There is a Service Parts...

I think he's saying he removed the fuel lines going through FICM. I've been running my FICM dry for 4 years now with no issues.

The factory LB7 plumbing setup is kind of retarded. Sounds like the new engines aren't much better.

I think it was all tied together on my LB7 too. I redid all the lines. I figure if he's able to...

I just removed mine. You don't need it except to diagnose if your lift pump is putting out the pressure you think. If you trust your lift pump or have other areas to test pressure, you can just...

I suspect it would be possible, but you'd have to verify hose diameter. I think they're a vestige of the shared platform with the Tahoe/Suburban, which has the rear heater lines T in at those...

Some people want an altered shift strategy, not just a pressure mod. Depends on what you're looking for. Like why pay the $5-10k to tune a L5P when you can buy a used Corvette that'll be faster than...

I have a 2003 with factory steering wheel controls. I reprogrammed the BCM to a 2004 and put in a 2006 Denali cluster. The Denali cluster may be the source of my issues, as it was weird even before I...

That's excellent news. I do wonder if the pressure display comes from the cluster or the BCM? If you ever get access to a Tech2, I'd love for you to post up all the hardware and calibration IDs from...

Sometimes scanners don't play as nice with the 2001-2002 trucks as later trucks. The early OSes were picky. Since the scanner doesn't want to work, just unplug the FPR. That will result in max...
