Are those cut proof gloves? Paper can take a finger off if not careful. Also that tinted shield is nice so you don't get blinded by the light reflecting off the paper and trip causing you to fall...

Guy at work many years ago had something similar happen. Older plugs were more prone to the aluminum wire having issues. I think corrosion gets them.

Machines leak fluids sometimes. Could be really from anything, and no telling how it got there. If its under the primer its been there a long time, and the paint cleaning process did not remove it.

I know some people keep spare engines and trans for their trucks.

If you could find a cheap engine and build it up over time it might pay off in the long run as you would have a spare just in case...
