T4 S4s and gt42s are close enough they can be bolted in place of each other. The gtx is the same size to as far as I know.

I you lost power then the regulator would default...

I you lost power then the regulator would default open causing high pressure. I would guess its pulling in air through a cracked hose/fitting before the lift pump.

Definitely get some braces for the next go round. I have sleeves and braces with stock keys and the bolts removed and have never had an issue. My cv angle is a bit negative as well.

Was the flex plate replaced at the time the motor was built? Sounds like it could be a clearance issue, or lack thereof.

I really doubt your problem is power output.

Just need to take the bolts out of the valve cover and the four out of the thermostat housing. Pipe doesn't need to be unbolted nor does the hose need to be disconnected. Takes the risk of ruining...

Could be boost leak (boot, flange, intercooler), high return rates on injectors or possibly maf tuning. Rob should be able to help you narrow it down if you are able to get a log.

My basic rule...
