Any amount you over bore will help with airflow, unshrouding the valves. It would be minuscule, and extremely expensive/hard to measure gains but its a major reason I wouldn't be afraid to over bore...

If you are running compounds and pushing them hard, that's a good sign you need both the 625's & firerings

625's shouldn't be necessary if your sealing surfaces are flat. But it's up to you, never a bad idea to go overboard.

If you're going to have the rotating assembly apart, it'd be pretty dumb to not throw a set of rods in it. Unless you on tight budget.... Wagler's as forged rods come to mind....
