I have an lbz stock air and fuel no lift pump. Has dsp5 tuned by local guy. It gets sluggish after a .5 hr run on the highway especially when its hot out. If i come out of the tolls on the highway wide open to 90 or so it will go into fuel limp and only rev to 2k. I am a diesel truck mechanic so I've tested the supply side and it pulls 8-10" of vac at wot under load. When I command the rail pressure to 165mpa at idle it will only hit 120-130mpa unless it raise the rpms off idle. When monitoring the rail pressure on the road at wot long pull it will command 180 and it will only get 150 mpa. I did the enhanced injector return test on the right bank and all the injectors failed. I'm considering getting Bosch stock remans through Autozone. Will this fix my problem? Would you guys trust the remans from Autozone? They have a lifetime warranty on them. Will probably do all 8.

No to AutoZone, you’ll be doing it twice.

What’s the enhanced injector test?

How much tuning would be needed for 30 over or 45% injectors. What will a stock CP3 keep up with? A cp3 with 170k?

Enhanced injector return test is run at 17000 psi. Gives you a real world picture of leakage at pressure.

What would the difference between a Bosch reman from any where else be?
I have a good relationship with the guys there know the manager ect and they give a lifetime warranty.
They would be a no questions asked replacement no matter what the case is.

You need the proper equipment/test stand to properly test flow and return. Even if warranty isn’t an issue, why do it twice or three times? Ask yourself why they’re that much cheaper.

I’m guessing you would probably have the same luck as the guys do using Pensacola Diesel injectors or injectorsdirect. Don’t last long till the yfail.

The right injectors bank was around 200 ml total 30-55ml each. Filled all the test bottles in 30sec. Spec is 18 ml max each.
The reman injectors from auto zone are genuine Bosch remans they are done by Bosch with all the correct equipment.
They are not any cheaper than anywhere else. I get a small discount so they will cost me 345.00 each. I don't want to do them twice but i can't see buying brand new injectors either. They have brand new Bosch injectors as well 100.00 more each and only a 3 year warranty.

A brand new set of 8 from Lincoln is $2,799. That puts it at about $350/each. They are also a supporting vendor of this forum. I think that is a better deal than $345/each for AutoZone remans.

I've done lb7 injectors in a c4500 and needed no puller. I'm slightly concerned that the injectors could be rusted into the head. Northeast vehicle with rust.
