    Ongoing complaint with running hot. C3/C4 clutches had some hot spots (not bad) and were replaced and reman convertor installed. Stock parts. Cooler was flushed out with hot flush machine. After problem still occurred, rad was replaced. How do you recommend checking temp? Thank You

    07 Duramax with Allison runs hot. Recently discovered that the cooler in rad had clutch material from a prior failure. Replaced rad. Ran 150 degrees for several days and then all of the sudden was running 190-200 without towing anything. checked trans temp with infared gun and it matches gauge...

    What kind of clutches?

    Yes, I plan to build it. Have more experience on stock medium and heavy duty trucks with Allisons. Wasn't sure what to install in this application. Do you have a recommendation on shimming the main regulator valve? Do you have a recommendation for second best if the others are not available...

    What is the best clutch for simply working hard. Engine has a 60hp tune on a 2004, but regularly tow 26,000. Do not race the truck, and drive it easy. looking for longest lasting clutches. C1 clutch is burnt up now.

    Allison slams into gear

    2004 GMC 2500HD LLY Duramax w/ Allison 254,000 miles. Slams into gear when going from park into neutral or drive. Also slams into every gear when it shifts. Upshifts and downshifts fine otherwise. No codes in transmission. Reset adaption..nothing changed. Oil is good and inside of pan is clean...
