What is the typical process to get the pinion out? Is there a special tool? With the balancer on I can't get my 7 ton puller to work.

Any help is appreciated. Thanks

I made my own tool from 1/4" plate. Drilled four small holes that the mounting strap bolts fit in. Drilled a big hole in the center of the four small ones and welded a 1/2" nut. I used all thread and welded a nut to the end to use a wrench on. Works great. I've used it too many times on my truck.

If you need it and can wait a couple days, I can drop it in the mail tomorrow. I can trim it to fit in a small flat rate box. Just send it back when you're done.

Thanks, but I would be too afraid to lose it shipping coming here or going back. I'll see if I can get my friend to help me out. No pullers for sale seem to be big enough. Thanks!
