Since it looks like you found a cam, is it ok if I move this into the "Things with Spark Plugs" section for the tech?

How does The failed lifter feel in the plastic tray it came out of?
I checked all of them and they are still great shape. Holds the lifters as intended. The two I've done were both like this one. No evidence of the lifter turning sideways or roller frozen. But yet the cam lobe wore off.. ..

I wonder if its a an issue with maintenance.

People are going 5k-10k miles between oil changes in these things.
And we know some have had oil consumption issues

I know some of the ones I have dealt with that had spun cam bearings, They were run low on oil.

They typical response is: "I always get my oil changed when the the light comes on and tells me its time."
When you ask about mileage between service they always say they dont know they just go by the service light...

Here we see quite a bit of afm lifters failed with damaged rollers that eat the cam lobe. It’s been more pronounced in the new LT engine group than LS.

Only trouble we've had with the LT so far is a bad variable oil pump, and a leaking hi pressure fuel pump.

I just pulled a cam out of another L92. It's a tiny bit bigger than an L96 cam. You need or want it?
