Heads??

So Wagler solid heads are 9 weeks out maybe. Edelbrock heads might be avalible in June. No Limit heads, to me, are very high priced. I like the thought of iron heads, but again they are out of my budget.

I have an lb7 2.6 puller with stock heads. My problem is since there are no heads avalible before pulling season starts,do I :
1-leave the heads alone
2- get the heads ported

ideas??

I'd order whichever ones you like/want/can afford and just run what you have until you get 'em.

If you get them ported, make sure you have a line on a spare set just in case. I had my ported heads crack and dump coolant into the #2 intake runner after only 700 miles. From what I understand that is pretty rare, but never hurts to have a backup plan.
