Default LB7 intake horn

What is the procedure of making the intake horn flow better. Do you machine or polish it out? I haven't seen any pictures and didn't want to mess it up doing it the wrong way

Machine it to where it does not kneck down right before the compressor housing.

Polishing can't hurt either

You need to machine it, either a mill or lathe. You can use a 1/4 endmill in a die grinder but you better have steady hands.

Just make it the same size as the rest of the horn. It necks down right before the turbo. Take it off and you will see. It's not very difficult.

If you have a mill or drill press you can take it one step further.
It works and you don't have to remove the whole turbo just the compressor housing.

Well if you havent done it yet, here ya go. Build a fixture to hold the horn by the three mounting holes. I you have a CNC your life just got easier, bolt fixture to table and interpolate away. If your doing this on a manual you can use a turntable (pain in the ass) or use a fly cutter.

The Compressor housing what is the reason for hogging it out. Does it make the housing weaker. Does it flow more air
