I've got some play in the rear most gear pack, never had an Allison apart so I'm not sure if there is an allowable spec or not. The e valve was a little tough coming out but I didn't see any burs in the housing. Got it back together and they all slide freely. I think I'm going to wait until tomorrow night after I call the transmission shop to put it back together

Hi there, I have an 08 Duramax and when it is cold it throws a P0751 code Shift Solenoid (SS) 1 Valve Performance - Stuck Off. If it is inside the shop it is fine. Once it warms up it goes away!! Any ideas of what to check?

Thanks

Try letting it warm up before you put it in gear and see if it still throws the code.
