I got an adapter at Autozone. Cost was under $14. Saved me a trip from Pueble to Colorado Springs and back on my way to New Mexico when I picked up a bumper pull.

My father in law just got his 2017 3500 dually. It's a 2 1/2 receiver but you'll get a sleeve (in glovebox) to put in and make it a 2 inch.

Right now GM is still using the 2-1/2" on the 2500 and 3500's. Should come with a sleeve to reduce it to 2"

Just trash the weak receiver all together and get a hefty 2"

You might know that the 'adapter' is just a piece of 2 1/2 (OD) tubing, and depending on the wall thickness, you may have some slop. It will have a hole drilled through it for the hitch pin. I made my own from leftovers from another project.

It will be 2 1/2" and comes in the glove box with the build sheet stuffed inside it.
