rear end is pretty close to dialed till the front end gets done. played a bit off road by my parents house Saturday night and scared Erin. there was a good sized drop off onto the street as we were leaving and we were doing about 25-30mph. Probably only about 18"-24" tall. i said "Hey, lets drop this onto the street!" i get yelled at with " NO, DONT YOU F***ING DO IT!" as she starts grabbing grab handles. jump off it as if nothing was there. after she pulled her shorts out of her ass and brooklyn quit giggling, she says "ok, that was cool" lol.

so its time to start thinking about the front end. going to finish ordering the rest of the parts i need (or think i need) as i wont be able to finish it till i finish the bathroom remodel we got going on.

front end is going to be built around this

So you bypassed GMs electronic proportion valve crap, iirc I got yelled at for wanting to do exactly that to get more rear brakes bias..........

no, this is by no means that far advanced lol. this had a load sensing proportioning valve that would add more brake bias as you loaded it down via a lever and spring. it never worked while i had it. this thing dont even have ABS factory (was an option then) . with the bigger rear drums, even at 57% i can lock the rear up before the front in a very hard stop but that was prior to the added weight i put in the back as "ballast" for when im not loaded down for a trip. maybe ill do a panic stop on the way home and see what happens.

If your brakes are functioning 100% GMís proportioning valve works the way itís supposed to.

I made a thread about increase rear brake bias especially when towing...

of the almost 400,000 miles I put on my lmm towing... It would not take very mush effort to get the rear to come around the front, or the little to no rear brake only front brakes at slow speed, front locks rear still turning ABS kicking and you accelerate.
my front brakes would smoke and boil brake fluid long before my rear would while towing.
I could also tell which axle was braking more by how the truck dove/squatted under braking when loaded 90% of the time any light braking was front axle only and was not enough to activate trailer brakes

avg class 5+ truck runs 30/70-10/90 bias to the rear
semis don't apply front axle brakes till after 50% applied brake pressure is reached...and at that time its usually considers a hard stop or panic stop
avg class 4 and smaller vehicle.... 90/10 front rear..

80/90s duallies has a DPR valve on the rear line to control how much rear brake actually happen given squat of the truck

but hey what do I know, most here barely tow anything more than 10K much less double or triple that.

not even a chuckle.... you know it was a good pun, admit it

in the dirt, it will probably get opened all the way up to setup for corners. way easier than using an e-brake as im most likely going to ditch mine. its creating more headaches than its worth.
