Well I finially had enough of the paint chipping off and the clear coat coming off I am redoing my Novacanes. I really like the design of these and no extra money for new rims this year that I decided to sandblast and powder coat myself.
So what do u guys and gals think of changing the color to? I'm thinking of going black chrome or just chrome. I had thought about black and silver again but that may be to hard for now so prolly sticking with one color. Ideas are welcome. I have a black 2008. Trying to get some ideas on what other color I should consider for the wheels but black chrome is my first choice right now.

Personally solid black looks like you forgot something to me.
I like polished Aluminum, Chrome, or grey with a different color between the spokes. To each his own. Go with what you like the looks of.

I'm guessing you can powder coat chrome or a color close to it?

I think a brushed aluminum finish would look good against a black truck. I personally like to see some kind of offset color from the truck to the wheels.

Yes you can do a chrome looking powder coat. It should be cleared though if you want it to last. I had my valve covers done chrome but they're out other the weather and road abuse.

Well after a long wait and many hours of building the oven and getting the wheels ready. I finally powder coated them. I went with ink black. For my first set I thought I did ok with them. There are some light spots. And a few imperfections but that's ok with me. Just knowing I did it really counts in my book. And the next ones I do after this for the camper and other toys will definitely start getting better at all this. Can't wait to get more stuff and keep learning how to get better. Good thing is o don't have to worry about scratching them because like I said they are not perfect. Have a good weekend everyone. Don't mind my crappy cell phone pics but after I resized them to fit they came out a little blurry sorry.
