Default I'm now a bit of a traitor.

While we still own and drive Wendy, I ordered off the 'other' menu.

I ordered my first import car in decades.

A 2019 Jaguar i-Pace EV400 FE in Photon Red.
It's 394HP and 512ftlb of torque, AWD, with a 90 kWh battery.
It has air suspension and some Land Rover features to enable it for light off-roading, and will cross 20" deep water.
In theory, it will arrive in September.

Top Gear review:

https://www.topgear.com/videos/video...-jaguar-i-pace

They have established a racing series for these called eTrophy:
https://www.jaguarusa.com/electrific...phy/index.html

The Photon Red First Edition is a limited production car, the color and features will be only for 2019 based on a limited run.

It has similar performance on the road to a Tesla Model S or X, but for less money when equipped the same:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gX2rDCYoLeo

Sadly, I could not order it with a Baby Seal interior, and Whale Oil charged shocks. However, I will be able to buy Tofu burgers at 1/2 price.

And in case I get homesick, like a BMW, you can turn on a fake engine noise piped into the 825w stereo.

Are they roomy inside enough for a bigger feller like you or me to get in and out of comfortably?

It's supposed be larger than the F-Pace inside, it has a longer wheelbase and a shorter hood. I fit great in the F-Pace even with a helmet (yeah, I checked).

The company or individual who gets into hotrodding production electric cars is going to get rich. The owners on the average are more affluent, and the EPA/CARB cannot crap on you.

Adding power might be rough, but I bought it as Daddy's Toy. I will run it at the drags, autocross, and will enter next year's REFUEL race:

It is an odd shape. 1/2 car, 1/2 CUV. In Europe, they call station wagons "skates" IIRC.

This is where it gets weird. It's made in Austria by Magna Steyr. KTM is made in Austria and they are very high quality. The other Jags are still made in England.
