I messaged mark and he said as of now all is well but don’t know day to day. I’m a firm believer that someone high up in he political ring always has their fingers I. Things that become more and more popular or mandated. You can’t get a job around her without a temp service first. Wonder who gets paid millions from them?

Land of the fr....... er wait, never mind.
When he left the emissions intact he did it so they still worked properly. He didn't prove they were not needed. I would bed his delete tunes would never meet nox levels. As far as I know he never had his tunes properly epa tested to prove they met epa standards. Not Sure if that would have even made it legal if he went through that process ( if there even is a process to do that)

EPA doesn't just do this overnight, it a timely process like most government agencies. moves like mollasses, but it keeps moving. It's just a matter of time, before all the big time tuners are shut down.

There is a process to do that, but it is expensive. Banks does that for their tuner and for their performance parts, and it is why they don't get shut down. They also make "race only" parts (like their Big Hoss intake), but they don't offer custom tuning to the public (AFAIK), which should keep them safe.

The beauty of the Urea injection is in theory, you could control NOx even with high timing by just hosing it in. With how cheap DEF is, it might actually make sense to dial up the timing and burn less diesel and more DEF. But with how much those tests cost, I doubt anyone will try.

Can the tunes be unlocked so update/changes can be made by the vehicle owner if they have the know-how?

Highly doubtful, just because he is no longer able to sell tines doesn't mean he doesn't still own the propriatery information in all of his current tunes in circulation.

Your best bet is to switch tuners unless you are happy with what you have.

X2 unfortunately might as well just start looking for a new tuner.

A good read here that's for sure.. Its a shame this has happened to ATP, but it is not a shocker. As others have said, it is all just a matter of time when more and more tuning companies are shut down. The EPA will do what they want, and no one can change it.

I still think an underhanded competitor "reported" ATP as a violator. This was far too random to happen on purpose.
Frankly, the EPA (and those supposed "judges" -- all enviro-nazis, 3 of which were promoted by Obama) is out of control.
Trouble is, there is nothing us "ordinary people" can do about it.

My suspicion as well. Because as most know, Rob didn't do deletes. IF he did, it was in the masses as others and wasn't advertised like everyone else does.

The original fine was in the high tens of millions but appealed and reduced to that

I still think it was because he was keeping emissions intact and making power proving emissions don't control everything. There is only one thing the EPA wants and thats to be in complete control of the situation.
