That's my favorite option but it will get you 30 days of weekends and about 5500 in bullshit medical bills and "lost wages", crock of shit, oh then it costs another 7 grand to get it expunged, everyone's a badass ass till you show up to call their bluff, every time I've made my point the cops always show up or find me.

But.... might be a little easier going out of state and stirring shit, least take 6 months to a year for the warrant to catch up with ya, lol.

Got pump, new cooler and lines ran, and LML manifold installed today.

Pump ran low on fluid filling cooler and lines-it's growls LOUD. So that tells me the gear is at least larger as they state.

Steering at a standstill is pretty easy (when pump is cold) I've not drove it yet, going on a 85 mile trip in the morning so we shall see. And so far pump is silent.

Cooler line was pretty warm going in, line coming out is cold-truck ran about 30 min at idle and 2k RPM's working wheel and checking for leaks and heat.

I flushed the fluid two more times to make damn sure everything is clean (flushed 3 times prior to pump swap)

And the LML manifold was easy once I got a swivel and slowed down for 30 seconds, idle is deeper (nothing dramatic) but should sound a little more like the old truck.

Took it up the road and worked the steering and did a little burnout, lines were still cool and steers from a stop, what I mean by from a stop is NOT lock to lock, it gets that "catch" still after about a full turn, but bump the brakes and it takes off again.

So all in all I'm happy with it, I'll let you know more after I put a couple hundred miles on it.

Got home and got a service four wheel drive light out of nowhere -B2426???

I'm trading it.

Cleared the code and put it in 4x4 a few times and drove again. No more code. It did bang the first time I put it in 4x4

I've put just over two hundred and fifty miles on since yesterday, drove 140 miles today to work, pump is quiet, steering is great and brakes will lock up finally.

Just pulled into Walmart and tried to cut wheel stopped, it will go about 1/2 turn with the brake pad pushed and if I put it in park with no brakes it goes over a turn.

Pretty happy with the set up overall. The cooler is a transmission cooler of an 08' halfton.

Put another 200 miles on, did a couple intense burn outs and sat in traffic where they usually get hot and still perfect. Gonna flush fluid when I get home just to be on the safe side

At 1,000 miles so far, trucks done a fair bit of idling working around the fields and the OP I made last year that was the reason for the pump going out, I made that same run yesterday just for spite and didn't get hot not one time, the cooler and pump combo seems to be the ticket.

Figured this is the best thread for LMM PS issues LOL.

Reger,

Do you have a picture of your cooler setup? My steering box is starting to weep, and I think I'm gonna try a flush+plus stop leak+plus a cooler before throwing dollars at a Red Head.

Also, would there ever be an issue of keeping the PS fluid TOO cool? Might be a nonissue

PS: sorry about the motor debacle

I can get a pic when I get home. IMO the cooler the fluid the better.

It's a half ton trans cooler mounted above the factory trans cooler in the factory holes, looks 100% stock.
