Default Vgt turbo upgrade

I keep going back an forth on turbo desicions, I have a lly turbo sitting here ready to be rebuilt with parts but I see others that have done it and it failed or went a different route. So maybe you guys can help me.

My goal is to just upgrade but keep he vgt because I love the turbo brake. I would like to go with the largest as possible while still being able to use the truck. I don't have a power goal, what ever stock fuel will do for me as I don't intent to ever go any larger. (Even I do drop a piston I'd just go with some nozzles but keep the pump stock)

Let me now what you guys think

My bad. Yeah I did mean 3794. Mine is the 65. You can get the 4094 which will move more air and is a 68mm. I got the smaller cause my truck is a tow rig

I have been thinking the same thing, I have a LLY/LBZ not sure what since it came off a 07 Kodiak turbo sitting around that I could rebuild.

What is the difference in Marks stage 2 3794 versus the off the shelf garret 3794?

I am not worried about instantaneous spool, because my stocker hAs that, but I like a good pull up top. Little bit less torque on the rods is always a plus, maybe a 3794 with the 68 wheel and marks porting and polishing?

If you love your exhaust brake, you would hate a 4094. I was in the same boat as you with my last lmm. A LLY charger with batmowheel, 10-blade turbine with fingers vanes and p&p ex housing not only made awesome power, it braked better than stock.
