Default LLY rough idle

Having a couple problems with my truck. On first start up truck runs rough for a few minutes. When itís running rough actual rail pressure is inconsistent. Truck also blows blue smoke for 5-10 minutes. temps in 45-50 degrees. injectors were sent back to S&S because #2 balance rate was 4ish. All injectors tested good. #2 injector went back in #8 hole. Balance rate on #8 is 2-2.5 now and still smokes blue.

Other problem is once truck is up to temperature idle is very choppy and slight loping. Desired rail pressure is 4.4 and actual fluctuates from 4.2 to 4.4 balance rates wonít read (all read 0.0) in park unless I hold the brake

Have sent log to tuner they bumped rail pressure to 6.5 at idle but it didnít do anything to smooth it out. Any help would be appreciated

How many miles on eng , what tune has it lived its life in , how is the truck used , did you buy the cp3 new , what type of fuel pickup are you using , have you done a compression test yet ?

175000 miles. Tune #4. No idea on the hp. Yes cp3 was bought new and has about 10,000 miles since. Thereís a fass draw straw in the tank. No compression test yet. Was planning on doing one.

I have replaced the FPR twince since the cp3 going in. Before winter was loping pretty hard so replaced it and a couple months after replacing it it starting loping again so LDS sent me another under warranty

Now that you switched injector positions is # 2 still off a bit ? If so the compression test might help a bit to narrow it down . Good luck though !

I forgot to ask if you have a v2 or tech 2 for code reading ? There is a problem with a truck posting right now that has crazy problems that may be linked to the $15 engine coolant temp sensor , its strange how a small thing can cause big problems ! I hope someone can help you out !

All cylinder read read + or - .5 except #8 which is between 2.5 to 3.5. I can get actual rates tomorrow.m
Only way I can get them to read in park is if I hold the brake pedal down really hard

No v2 or tech 2. Have a autocal though. No code show up on my cts2 but will see if code should up in autocal

That is strange that the injector that was in #2 that you were getting 4 rates , you put it in #8 and now that same injector is near 4 again after being checked out ! I am not saying 4 is all that bad , but its just strange ! I would not think that would be within there limits but I am not sure . Good luck though !
