To the OP. Try swapping all to your 30 overs and see what happens. Either way sounds like a bad injector or compression issue

I only drove around the block with the 30's on one side then came back and put the 30's on the other side. Drove around the block again and it wasn't as bad but would still leave a big cloud taking off and then clean up on cruising with just a haze. Was going on a 250 mile trip and got about a 1/2 mile from house and looked down to 0 oil pressure, pulled over, had oil, drove it back couldn't find wires loose, oil temp was ok. Left it and took the Yukon will work on it Saturday. I worked on the drivers side last, I think it's probably the plug in needs cleaning, I hope.

Running with different sized injectors is a good way to screw a crank up. Even if only running it for a short time. Know somebody who had a set industrial 45 overs, well one ended up being a 60 over. He found it after w snapped cranks. Figured the 1st one was bad luck, come the 2nd one he knew something was up.

Installed the oil pressure sender and it's hung on 110psi. Drove it 65 miles to Torque Diesel, had him do a retune for the 30's and while tuning the oil pressure started working but is crazy, he said it could be the pigtail on the sender. It smokes but it's drivable. I guess drive at night and I won't see the smoke. lol

Its got to be something simple that we're overlooking, mainly b/c we arent there to see it in person.

Before I overhauled it, 30 overs, sportsman pump, stock turbo and it ran fine, with on smoke except in #5. Dyno day laid down 578. Hole in piston so in overhaul I changed to, fingers pistons, 68mm turbo, 10mm pump, suppose to put out 700 with no smoke while DD. I have a lot of wire connectors that don't have a home now. I drilled out the driver side fuel rail to 125 and pass .090. made up a 5/16 fuel return line and added a1/2" inlet to the pump.
Now on another note, it's nothing but hills and valleys down here in North Ar. but even when pulling off from a red light if you go half pedal it will put out a cloud. I'm running a Fass system, I will change the fuel filter tomorrow to see if that changes anything.
Everybody keep thinking.
Thanks for the help.
Joe

The tuner drives the truck after each change, and it still smokes, but not when cruising at 60 and above, just going up hills and taking off. He thinks it the fingers, causing it. But why so much smoke all the time with the 60s.

It doesn't make sense that you have a lot of connectors without a home at all

I have and he tuned the ECM with same results, that's when I went back to the 30s to start over. Next move will be going back to the stock turbo.

I think first we all need to find out why he has a bunch of connectors not plugged in

So Mark tuned it in person, you went for a drive and it still smoked beyond your personal limit and he didn't change the tune any more? Either that turbo spools extremely slow or all your injectors are junk, I doubt the oval bowls are causing all your problems.

I'm sure Mark had an explanation for the smoke. What did he say?
