That is the closed position, it opens to send oil to the cooler when it gets to temp. I heated water to check things out, it opens a lot .

I understand that, but the oil has to bypass behind the thermostat to get to the passage on the other side and into the filter. The picture makes it look like that passage is very small with the thermostat closed. I didn't know if it was as small as it looks in the pictures or if it is just the camera angle.

So the mocal is factory or was it r worked? If it is i see what your saying on the website they do look exactly the same.

The pic of the mocal is how I received it from them. I also got the prices to go to the -12 lines from them when I ordered it.
The other is the one super bee sells on here.

I have one to and kinda thought the same thing but on a closer look it does not completely block off the oil cooler so there is still a little flow to the cooler when closed.
