Fire damaged DMAX-would u buy?

Found a DMAX/4l80e combo on Craigslist in my area. Good price. But fire damage on top of motor. Says its a 2007 with 10k on it. Isn't this a van motor? And my question is would it b worth buying? From the pics it looks like the turbo is in tact but I can't make out much more than that. Would the heads b usable? I'm thinking maybe I should pass on it. What do u guys think?

The vans are rated at less HP but that may just be tuning. I hope someone else will chime in about this.Whats to burn up top ? fuel lines, wire harness, AC compressor, alternator, belt accessories ,FICM, turbo, ECM. There is a lot, do you just need a good block?

its a van engine. a lly , if you can go look at it that would be best. id pay 2k max

Yes I have lb7 pistons and I want a block crank etc to build.

How bad of a fire was it? Just a harness fire? If the valve covers aren't slumped I wouldn't be too worried about it. I bought a similar engine that had a pretty bad fire and the heads were fine.

if the upper valve covers dont look bad i would assume the heads are good as well as the shortblock. its basically a lbz so for 1500 its not bad at all

Sweet thanks for the info guys. From the pics the turbo and valve covers look fine. I'm gonna try to jump on it.
