    G80 locker spring mod

I literally just through my old carrier away with that spring in it  Let me go check the metal bins at work and see if it's still there.

    G80 locker spring mod

True story :thumb: The spring is pretty easy to twist up. I actually think it helped mine last as weird as that sounds. Always engaging regardless. You can see where the leg of the spring rests on the governor shaft. Just take it and rotate it through around through the spider gears a few twists...

Yukon Dura Grip Rear Differential ??

Surprisingly my G80 lasted to 220k miles of pure abuse. 500hp and 20 year old driving habits starting at 120k miles :roflmao:. There is a counterweight that swings out and keeps it from locking above like 15mph. I took the spring for that and wound it up about 6 times. It made it always engage...

Yukon Dura Grip Rear Differential ??

I actually can agree with this statement. If someone could beef up the G80 somehow I'd go that route front and rear.

    Sac injectors

I have the smaller 65% SAC nozzles, 16.5:1 compression and mine starts fantastic at 0 degrees a few days ago. And as crazy as it sounds I swear it starts faster than a stock truck. I know it's stupid but just a reminder we're LB7's with no ECM glow plug diagnostics. Back in the day I lost 6 glow...

    PCV reroute to exhaust

Did you happen to measure crankcase vacuum after this setup? I'm doing the same on mine. What is your diameter exhaust where the vents are installed?

    L5P L5P Tuning

I'm curious about the Colorado tuning issues as well. Was planning on buying a used one at the beginning of the year and doing the deletes and tune for a eco kid/dog hauler.

    slow oil pressure

My one input since I commented originally. A few of my tunes had a slightly lower idle speed, especially on start up. If I run a tune that has a stock idle speed right at start up the oil pressure builds every time and has never set the oil pressure sensor code since.

Brake light issues after LML hydro boost upgrade

When I swapped mine I noticed the LML booster had a smaller diameter hole where it connects to the brake pedal/mounts the brake switch. Yours may be a bit tighter than other vehicles causing the push rod to not travel far enough to contact the brake switch. Drill it slightly larger.

5 speed to 6 speed conversion.

It starts in first then jumps to second touching the throttle. The 2-1 downshift still seems to be normal when coming back to a stop.

5 speed to 6 speed conversion.

Also just noticed something this weekend that I can't remember if it was mentioned. But there is a 2nd gear start programmed into the strategy when selecting 2nd gear. Flipping sweet! :thumb:

5 speed to 6 speed conversion.

Finally swapped tuning and am enjoying it greatly! 6th gear comes in around 57mph slowly accelerating. Holds the higher gears even with more throttle input which even with my build is still great. Besides the stupid Allison cold shift strategy hanging the gears too high, the shift timing seems...

5 speed to 6 speed conversion.

I opted for the Tow\Haul disable as well. Definitely easy enough but I'm excited to hear a tapshift is in the works. The tune in my truck is a temporary tune to keep smoke down as we found out I had wiring issues with my MAF sensor during the tuning process. Unfortunately in the mean time it...

5 speed to 6 speed conversion.

Have about 700 miles on my 6 speed conversion and wish I did it sooner! Wasn't looking for any mpg gains, just wanted to get the interstate cruising rpms down. It's not like the wife's 8 speed half ton Ram but it still makes me happy hitting that extra gear :D What impressed me the most was the...

    Garret gt 3788r drive pressure

The exhaust side shouldn't be the restriction as once the small charger gets up to its operating speed the external gate pops open and directs the rest of the drive to the large charger. However if I want to keep boost to drive 1:1 then the large charger ends up having a higher than 2:1 boost...

    Garret gt 3788r drive pressure

That 68 may be too large as I can get a good 1:1 up to around 32psi, with the large charger barely moving the gauge. From there up the drive starts increasing drastically. Who did the 68 upgrade? Is it just a bored out original compressor housing with the 2.5" discharge? I wouldn't mind trying...

    Garret gt 3788r drive pressure

What exhaust housing? Gated? That seems to be where mine runs with the .89 housing and the gate cinched down. Granted this is in my mismatched compound setup so sorta apples to oranges. There is a big power increase with a loosened gate, even before the large charger starts moving.

Decided to turbocharge the daily driver

I'm trying I'm trying! Haha. Spun the impeller on the truck's water pump a few weeks ago. Had to get that taken care of and make sure it's half way reliable again. Boss man is cleaning out the shops storage shed this week, which means I have access to a few more different turbos. Just need that...
