Amazon box Can anyone tell me what the difference might be between this one box and the card one box? Part number is the same but with an S at the end. Just some Chinese knock off with a similar part number to fool us?

    Lift pump

I ran a Kennedy single for a long time before I tore the truck apart, did a bunch of upgrades and went with Kennedy twins. Absolutely love them. Super quiet. Tons of flow. I've also ran with them unplugged for a brief time making trips out of town when I was trying to redo the wiring and...

It's HG time in the near future. Any recommendations on parts.

I just meant you didn't need to pony up for the ARP studs. There are other brands of studs out there that will work just fine for a few hundred dollars less.

It's HG time in the near future. Any recommendations on parts.

I know I'm almost a month after this was first posted, but I did HG on my LBZ over the summer with 220k on the clock and here are my tips and advice. Send your injectors to get cleaned. It's $50/injector at most places. I skipped this part and ended up buying new ones from Lincoln diesel. But...

My truck gets a yearly PS fluid flush. I've had a cooler on it for I don't even know how long. I run 285/70/17 on H2 wheels. About 85% of my driving is highway. The factory box lasted until about 200k. Got some slop in it that started to get excessive. Replaced it with a Lares reman unit that...

Well, I sent that video to Bluetop and exchanged emails a few times. He told me to adjust the set screw and that will get rid of some of it but it's impossible to get rid of it all. Adjusted it last night but haven't had the truck out yet. I've done this in the past on other boxes and it's...

I Have a blue top as well. Loved it at first. It's been on for ~1.5 years and maybe 10-12k miles. Mines getting sloppy now. I took a video the other day. The whole shaft moves kinda at an angle when being turned and makes it feel like slop in the steering wheel. Edit to add video Source...

The price on that cardone box on rockauto is all over the place. It was a $370 the other day. Listed at $317 yesterday, back to $370 today. I don't know if I need another box but I debated buying it just to have when it was $317.

How to tell if it is the power steering pump or the steering box?

It really sounds like your pump is going bad. Like I said before, I've used all of them in the past and I'd highly recommend the PSC pump and be done with it. I use a vacuum pump to get the initial air pockets out. Then I've used Driven Diesel's procedure for bleeding after that. Works great...

How to tell if it is the power steering pump or the steering box?

I "think" most people do not run synthetic. I know I don't. You can do some research on that topic. ACdelco fluid is a good option. Especially since it's actually clear and if your doing a flush and using a clear 3/8" hose to a bucket or pan you can actually see in the tube when it's clean...

How to tell if it is the power steering pump or the steering box?

If I were you, I'd start with a fluid flush. Then go to a pump/cooler upgrade. If there's no slop in your steering or leaking from the box, I doubt it's the steering box. I've went though several boxes and pumps on my LBZ. Currently running a blue top that seems to be developing some play in...
