Well call me smart or lazy! With fuel prices the way they are now days, it makes sense too me to run the M/W alot more of the time, even if i just run water. When i got my system, i just stuck with the 2 1/2 qt tank that came with it and put it under the hood on the fuse box cover. Not knowing what i know now, that little tank emptys pretty fast, and thats with only running 1 of the 2 injectors in the system and the injection tune on the lowest setting!
(think of it as a tunable injection map, like EFILive) So i get tired of lifting a
5gl jug of pre-mix M/W under the hood to refill the little tank every other day. I don't want to relocate it all, i like the system short as possible and don't want to relocate the Hi-psi pump wich i would have to do to put the tank in the bed. So the next best solution is to use the underhood tank as a "Surge" tank. I will use our 5gal fuel jugs as the feed tank and that way i can easilly remove the system or swap in a fresh jug of pre-mix.

The system i have devised is pretty simple, cheap, and easy to duplicate for anyone else with the same problem!

I got a couple of push-loc fittings an aftermarket washer pump, line, clamps, wire, relay, and a race fuel jug!

I wanted it all in a nice contained unit (module) so i mounted the pump to the cap of the fuel jug. I have a washer level sensor from a BMW installed in the tank that i will wire later, the idea of it is so i know when the tank is low to run the pump. I might add a timed relay also to make refill fully automatic with out user intervention. I wired the power output to the pump with a relay to reduce power load on the circut. Just folowed the schematic on the relay i had. (can supply if needed). The little copper line loop in the cap is just a simple vent i bent up to keep the unwanted out. I work with this stuff everyday so its 2nd nature to me!
Just take a look at the pics, everything is pretty self-explaned, but if i missed anything you wnt to know, just ask!:D

cool :) wht kinda mpg increase have you seen ?

Well i know for a fact that it helps, but i don't have any accurite measurements pre-install cause i would forget to run the system, or fill it, or it would run out, etc. so now i can isolate alot of the issues now and take some readings down! I'd like to do some comparo's on how percentage of methanol affects MPG too. I know it works pretty good an i am expecting good results along with driving style changes. The other day i tryed 50/50 mix ( 1 active nozzle, low tune) and got home and ran around and grabbed the post charge pipe and it was pretty cool, I'd say 40-50 degrees! and with plain h2o is wasn't as cool, makes sence, methanol chills like a refrigerant when it exits the nozzle, all of this equates to more power and that means i have to step on the pedal less! I try to get some #'s for you guys soon!:D

Cool sounds good. just dont go to any airport with tht thing in the back you may get some unwanted atention

Good call:eek: "oh that thing, thats just the hyper-drive coolant seperator!"

I wouldn't mind a little shorter tank! I might zip-tie a cover around it or fab a aluminum box cover for it. Wouldn't be hard to fit it all to a normal tank but i like the idea of it beeing quick to swap in a full jug!

Got any pics of how/where you are injecting?

Heres all i got as of now, i can get more if you like. It's hard to see but the
1st nozzle is in the post-CAC elbow (1st pic). The 2nd nozzle is in the intake to the Y-bridge. I also installed a Parker flow control valve inline with that one to turn down or shut off flow to conserve a tankful of pre-mix. That isn't much of an issue anymore though. I am thinking about adding a 3rd nozzle pre-CAC to see if it helps further drop air charge temps. :D

Are you running 2 big nozzels? I was told to run smaller nozzels when spraying more water than meth is this true? I am running one big & one small, spraying 10% meth.

Hmmm, interesting, i havn't heared that before! Maybe some one can elaborate? I'm running the two nozzles that came in the kit...
small one is 6-GPH @ 150psi (380 CC/M)
big one is 12-GPM @150psi (760 CC/M)
I usually run about 30% methanol in mine that i mix myself :D

Well that is what I herd dont know if it is true? But I am running one 325 and one 675. What do you think about WWF, Peak good to 0 degree has 10% meth in it, thought it would be pretty safe,it has water/meth in it thats it. I work at a race shop so methanol is no problem getting. Thought about running the new M5 it has Nitromethan in it:rofl:!!! NOT

I think its more a matter of personal preferance. Lottsa guys use WWF. I do work on cars for a living and this is why "I" don't use WWF. After time you notice how WWF leaves a blue residue? That dried blue dye is actually pretty gritty! Now i have no idea how it acts when introduced in to the diesel compustion chamber? Dose it just burn up and dissapear? IDK, but that is even in liquid form, a certain micron size particles going through the system and look at how crusty old washer system parts get. Alcohol is already a very "dry" liquid and corrrosive to a certain degree. Ex: look at an alky race motor that has a few runs on it, it prolly smokes a little, alky is so dry it scores the rings and walls to a certain degree, hence the avalible top lube for that very reason. It will surly do the same to a M/W kit, just a matter of time. Why have on more possibly problimatic non-needed ingredient? So prefer to just avoid all of that and mix my own. I know how much alky is in there, quality of it, no other ingredients or detergants. And its cheap. @ 30% mix 5gal of methanol goes a long way!
Sorry for the long winded approach! Just IMHO and my .02!:D

I agree with you. I just got this water meth kit on and have only hit it a few times and I just wanted to pick yor brain on mixes, I am going to start mixing my own it just seem's more pure to me.
